The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery is a key specialty of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, a principal discipline of integrated TCM and Western medicine in Zhejiang Province, and the research center of integrated therapies for gastric cancer. It plays a significant role in Zhejiang Medical Association, providing a platform for medical students from across the country to receive standardized training of gastric cancer, and the laparoscopy training base of Zhejiang Province.

Won honorary titles of Key Laboratory focused on treating tumors in digestive system with integrated therapies in Zhejiang Province;
Served as Cancer Research Institute of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Zhejiang Provincial Center of Integrated Therapies of TCM and Western Medicine for Gastric Cancer Prevention and Treatment;
