The Nephrology Department of Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in 1984 and is a key specialty of the Zhejiang Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan". It is also the inheritance base of "Ye's Internal Medicine", a famous Chinese medicine school in Zhejiang Province. The department insists on inheriting the essence of traditional Chinese medicine, upholding integrity and innovation, adhering to the equal emphasis on traditional Chinese and western medicine, and promoting the mutual complementation and coordinated development of traditional Chinese and western medicine.

Department Scale:
The department currently has 2 wards with a total of 63 beds and 80 hemodialysis machines. With more than 50,000 outpatients and 2,000 discharges annually, the department is trusted by patients both inside and outside the province.

Among them, 5 have senior professional titles, 4 have deputy senior professional titles, 11 have intermediate professional titles, and 2 have junior professional titles. At present, the department has 1 national TCM experience inheritance instructor, 2 Zhejiang famous TCM practitioners, 1 Zhejiang young and middle-aged clinical famous TCM practitioner, 2 doctoral tutors, 4 master tutors, 1 provincial health leading talent and 1 provincial health innovation talent of Zhejiang.

Scientific Research Achievements:
The department presided over more than 20 national and ministerial and provincial-level projects, a number of bureau-level projects, and published more than 300 professional papers.

Clinical Characteristics:
The department mainly focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease. Technical expertise includes integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of refractory nephropathy, prevention and treatment of secondary nephropathy and replacement therapy of end-stage renal disease.
