Dr. Xu Li
Xu Li. was born on 25 December 1977 in Hunan Province, China. 
From 1996 to 2001, she studied as an undergraduate student in Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TJUTCM) and obtained Bachelor’s Degree. Then, she pursued her master degree of Chinese external medicine in Hunan University of Chinese Medicine (HUCM) from 2002 to 2005. 
Since 2005, she has been working as the leader in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery of Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, which is also known as the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. During this period, she has undertaken professional training. 
From June to December in 2019, she worked as a surgeon in St. Mark’s Hospital in Britain. She pursued her doctorate from 2017 to 2020 in Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM), deepening her understanding of colorectal conditions. Before she furthered her study in NJUCM, she has accumulated abundant clinical experience based on extensive practices over the past 13 years. 
In addition, she was responsible for a project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), focusing on the effect of mild moxibustion on trpv1 expression in the dorsal root ganglion in a mouse model of pruritus ani. Her another study was funded by Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, revolving on the effects of mild moxibustion on behavior and subcellular morphology of itch model mice. The research results were published in academic journals.
